It is the light of the stars falling from the sky
that keeps you grounded
The origin of all things is the crux of every creative reflection. But at the same time, it is also the most difficult dimension to define. Is it really possible to
tell the imperceptible spark that makes a nebulous cosmos shine, elevating it to its own dignity? The KREATION exhibition sets itself this ambitious goal,
and does so through the versatile curiosity of Klaus
Bröking.

The artworks can be understood as a path
that outlines an engaging artistic cosmogony.Just as the universe sinks its own creation into the
indefiniteness of chaos, so the process of art draws its essence from a primordial blanket of instincts and atavistic impulses. In shaping the abstract and visceral matter of inspiration, the artist thus
becomes the demiurge of his own feeling, and
illustrates the fundamental stages of his discovery,
both personal and collective.
The path to reach
order, the kosmos, is dotted with tangles of lines,
symbolic and allusive figures, whirling chromatic
waves: they seem to embody a propulsive force
that is born and asserts itself with an unstoppable
urgency. The intense and full colors evoke a primary
essentiality, capable of transfiguring every vain
appearance.

On the other hand, progress – and
creative growth – springs from an initial magma of
fleeting thoughts, which arise, die and regenerate
in other forms, in an incessant continuum of
brilliant stimuli. They chase each other and change
in form, while maintaining their most authentic
substance.
KREATION manages to give substance
to this concept and to demonstrate the surprising
proliferation of a single impulse through (literally)
double works, in which a single support gives body
to two different visions. What might seem like a
simple exercise in style becomes a resounding
message when supported by faithful devotion to a
trusted director, that of one’s own artistic vocation.

A vocation that is deeply imprinted in the artist’s
soul, and expertly guides his mind even before his
hand. The phase of incipient creation becomes
an artistic act in itself, which is expressed in an
original use of supports, recovered from objects
collected on the street, from abandoned wooden
boards; or even from anonymous coasters, which
are placed side by side in an unexpected mosaic
of multi-colored tiles.
Klaus Bröking thus puts
into practice the energetic push of a universe
in progress, making his art the perfect union of
apparently oxymoronic elements: instinct and
rationality, disorder and harmony.
